He lends his unique vocal style to all different varieties of music, and he's always very popular with the crowd for his upbeat attitude and unique vocal interpretations. For this band, though, he has toned things down a little, and his style is appropriate for whatever he is playing. Now and then, his distinctive bass singing voice can be heard - just listen for "Elvira" and "Folsom Prison Blues!" Dale has played in this type of band for a lot of years, and the variety is what he enjoys the most. His main instrument is the tenor sax, but he also honks on the baritone sax and occasionally plays bass guitar. He sings a few of the older songs, but he's happiest singing harmonies with the rest of the group.
